P. Brandon Bookstaver, PharmD, is an Associate Professor & Director of Residency & Fellowship Training in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the University of South Carolina (USC) College of Pharmacy (COP) in Columbia, South Carolina, USA. He also serves as an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist at Prisma Health Richland. Following graduation from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, he completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency and PGY2 Infectious Diseases specialty residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Brandon thoroughly enjoys mentoring trainee research and is heavily involved in pharmacy residency training, including his roles as the Infectious Diseases PGY2 Residency Director at Prisma Health–USC and PGY1 Residency Director at Tandem Health-USC COP. He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of infectious diseases and teaching and learning. He has held numerous leadership positions within American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, South Carolina Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Southeastern Pharmacy Residency Conference executive boards. Brandon is a fellow of the ACCP and Infectious Diseases Society of America, and board certified in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, running, traveling, and Gamecock athletics.
