Jennifer Richards, Pharm.D., J.D., C.S.P. is a product development principal at URAC, a health care recognition organization based in Washington, DC. In this role, she develops standards of care for different health care industries designed to improve patient care and organizational leadership. Throughout Dr. Richards’ seven years with URAC, she has led the development of many health care recognition programs, including Telehealth Accreditation, Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation, Health Equity Designation, and Opioid Stewardship Designation. She has collaborated with many stakeholders, convening advisory groups of leaders and experts across different health care organizations to instill best practices throughout each of the developed programs. She enjoys synthesizing the working ideas of the many to build standards that drive quality patient care practices.
Dr. Richards received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011 from the University of Arizona, and her Juris Doctor in 2015 from Arizona Summit Law School. She is also a Certified Specialty Pharmacist. Dr. Richards is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University.
