Michél is a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison located within Boston Medical Center’s Neurology clinic.
While working at a chain retail pharmacy as a supervisor in 2009, she made the decision to switch to a pharmacy based role. At that time she studied to become nationally certified and continued to advance her knowledge and career over the next seven years. In 2016 Michél took an opportunity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in an ambulatory based role processing refill requests and submitting prior authorizations for multiple clinics. It was then that she recognized there are so many ways in which a Certified Pharmacy Technician can assist in the comprehensive care of patients. Michél is currently the senior Specialty Pharmacy Liaison with in the Neurology Clinic at Boston Medical Center. In additional to managing a robust patient panel, she is a vital clinic support staff aiding in BMC’s journey to become a National Multiple Sclerosis Society Comprehensive Care Center. Michél is an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Health System Pharmacy and is a strong advocate for the advancement of pharmacy technician careers.
