Dr. Melissa Pleva, PharmD, BCNSP, BCCCP is currently the Pharmacy Manager - Specialty Clinical Services at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Pleva received her PharmD from the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy residency and Specialty Residency in Nutrition Support and Critical Care at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She has previously practiced as a Clinical Specialist in Surgical Critical Care, Trauma, Burn and Nutrition Support at Michigan Medicine and as the Pharmacy Manager for Surgery, Cardiovascular and Transplant Services at Michigan Medicine before transitioning into her current position in Specialty Clinical Services.

Dr. Pleva's interests include advancing the role of clinical pharmacists in patient care and growing and developing clinical pharmacist services and practice models. Dr. Pleva is passionate about advancing pharmacy practice through participation in professional organizations, including past roles as President of the Michigan Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and Chair of the Membership Committee of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. She has also served as a member of the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Clinical Leadership for the Section of Clinical Scientists and Specialists and the Clinical Practice Committee of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
