Jessica Bianco received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2001. She completed an ASHP-accredited specialty residency in ambulatory care at Bay Pines VAMC in St. Petersburg, FL the following year. Dr. Bianco began her practice at Tampa General Hospital in 2002 as an inpatient clinical pharmacist, but quickly developed ambulatory pharmacotherapy services the following year, focusing on chronic disease state management. Dr. Bianco serves as an ambulatory care APPE preceptor for several pharmacy schools, serves as a preceptor for the PGY1 residency program and as the Director for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program. She is a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Florida Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and serves as Chair for the Ambulatory Care Practitioners Section Advisory Group on Medication Management Services. She has received several awards during her career including, Pharmacist of the Year, Preceptor of the Year, and Medication Safety Agent of the Year. Her teaching and research interests include implementing and expanding pharmacy services, specifically expansion of telemedicine services.
