Brooke Hudspeth, Pharm.D., CDCES, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and is also the College’s Chief Practice Officer (Associate Dean for Practice). In this role, she leads the College’s efforts in the development of innovative pharmacy practice models that improve patient outcomes and access to care, provides leadership to the College’s clinical faculty, and oversees the College’s pharmacy residency and practice initiatives. She coordinates the Integrated Drugs & Diseases-Genitourinary course and is also on the faculty of the American Pharmacists Association’s certificate training program The Pharmacist and Patient-Centered Diabetes Care. She currently serves as the Secretary of Kentucky Pharmacists Asssociation and is on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Diabetes Network.
Dr. Hudspeth has practiced in community and ambulatory pharmacy settings for 19 years, serving as a clinical diabetes care pharmacist and Program Coordinator for a community pharmacy American Diabetes Association–recognized Diabetes Self-Management Education Program and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-recognized Diabetes Prevention Program. Dr. Hudspeth’s practice interests include innovative pharmacy practice models that improve patient access to care, including medication therapy management and disease state management and prevention, particularly diabetes. She is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and a Master Licensed Diabetes Educator.
