Mollie Scott is Regional Associate Dean and Clinical Professor for UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy at Mountain Area Health Education Center. Mollie received her undergraduate degree in biology from Meredith College and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. After graduation she completed an ASHP-Accredited Residency in Geriatrics at the Durham VA as the inaugural geriatric pharmacy resident. Mollie has previously served as Director-at-Large and Chair for ASHP's Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners and is recognized as a Fellow of ASHP, and currently sits on the ASHP Advocacy and PAC Advisory Committee. She is an active member of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists and recently served as Co-Chair of the Task Force on Hormonal Contraception that led to the passage of HB 96 that expanded pharmacists' scope of practice. She practices as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner in an interprofessional osteoporosis clinic and precepts PGY2 residents in ambulatory care and geriatrics. Mollie was a 2021 recipient of the Bowl of Hygeia Award in recognition of her service to her community and the profession of pharmacy. Mollie's areas of interest are women's health, geriatrics, and starting ambulatory care pharmacy services.
