Lynnae Mahaney, B.S.Pharm., M.B.A., FASHP, is Senior Director, Pharmacy Accreditation Office of Global Resource Development and Consulting at ASHP. Ms. Mahaney is responsible for leading the administration of pharmacy practice accreditation programs for hospitals and health systems as well as leading ASHP’s international residency and hospital pharmacy accreditation activities.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Mahaney has been recognized for her innovative and energetic leadership in inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy services in both community and government health systems. She has held a variety of important pharmacy positions, including Executive Director of the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation, a partnership among the American Pharmacists Association, National Boards of Pharmacy, and ASHP; Vice President, Hospital and Health System Services at Visante; Chief of Pharmacy at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Affairs Hospital; and Director of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation.
Ms. Mahaney is a past president, former Board of Directors member, and Fellow of ASHP. She has also served on numerous committees and professional boards and has received numerous awards, including the University of Wisconsin’s Citation of Merit in 2012 and Pharmacist of the Year in 2004.
Ms. Mahaney received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in Madison and a Master of Business Education degree from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee.
