Dr. Hornecker is Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy and Family Medicine Residency Program, and adjunct clinical faculty with the University of Washington School of Medicine. She earned her PharmD from the University of Wyoming and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Dr. Hornecker has practiced in ambulatory care since 2005, and her primary patient care involves type 2 diabetes, pain management, respiratory diseases, and anticoagulation. Dr. Hornecker has presented continuing education at numerous local, regional, and national conferences. She has been actively involved in the ASHP Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners Educational Steering Committee, is a Diplomate of the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy, and is past-president of her state affiliates of ASHP and APhA. Dr. Hornecker was recipient of the Bowl of Hygeia Award in 2016.
